How do you adjust the trigger?

Our AR trigger assemblies offer adjustability, allowing you to fine-tune the pull weight to your preference. However, we strongly recommend seeking the assistance of an experienced gunsmith for any adjustments. This ensures proper functionality and safety.

Important Safety Considerations:

  • Professional Assistance: Due to the complexity of trigger mechanisms, improper adjustments can lead to malfunctions or unsafe conditions. A qualified gunsmith possesses the necessary expertise and tools to make adjustments safely and accurately.
  • Safety First: Always ensure your firearm is unloaded and safe before performing any adjustments.

Adjustment Procedure (For Informational Purposes Only):

If you choose to proceed with adjustments yourself, please exercise extreme caution and follow these steps:

  1. Locate the Adjustment Screw:
    • Identify the UPPER small hex screw located on the back of the trigger module. This screw is responsible for adjusting the spring tension on the sear.
  2. Incremental Adjustments:
    • Use an appropriate hex key to make adjustments in very small increments. Clockwise rotation will increase the spring tension, resulting in a heavier trigger pull.
  3. Testing:
    • After each adjustment, thoroughly test the trigger function. Ensure the trigger resets properly and that there are no malfunctions.
    • Use snap caps to ensure proper function without live ammunition.
  4. Thread Locker:
    • If you make significant adjustments to the hex screw, you may need to reapply a thread locker compound (such as Loctite) to prevent the screw from loosening during firing. Follow the thread locker manufacturers instructions.

Warning:

  • Improper adjustments can compromise the safety and reliability of your firearm.
  • If you are not comfortable with this procedure, please seek professional help.
  • Always test the trigger thoroughly after adjustment.
